This is the Magic Tree in Columbia MO. It's a few blocks from Randi's home. It is very pretty
This is the Magic tree inspired hat I crocheted for Elijah while we were Christmas-ing in Missouri. I grabbed a skein of yarn from my project bucket as we walked out the door. It just happens to be as colorful as the tree. I made it there for Elijah so we could do a little bonding, we both enjoyed it. He was so compliant about trying on a half done hat, once he took off on a run but I had enough yarn unwound so I didn't loose any stitches. I told Randi that he doesn't have to wear it. The joy was in the journey!

I LOVE IT!! I need the pattern. What a wonderful Christmas, and oh the memories that were made.
Love the hat!! And what a darling little boy!
The Magic Tree is certainly spectacular! The same can be said for the little knitted cap:-)
I got so excited as I was reading your Rosette tutorial! I have a double rosette iron just like yours and I had no idea what it was or what it was used for!!
I picked mine up at a thrift store a couple of years ago and no one I have asked has known what it was.
I am so glad to know what to do with it. The rosettes remind me a little of beignets and funnel cakes. I will have to dig my iron out of storage and try to make them.
Thanks for sharing your recipe and tips.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. The weather here in Texas is very moderate. today it was about 65 degrees down from 80 degrees yesterday. However we may have snow tomorrow who knows?? It can rain, snow, sleet and have sunshine all at once here. Nice to visit your blog and hope that you will stop by again.
