5 and big!!

When our Randi was little she couldn't wait to turn "5 and big"! Oh the things she was going to do, the closer she was to turning 5 the more fun she was sure she would be having. When Randi married and started having babies, I was so excited to be part of my own grown up version of "5 and big".
5 generations!!!
1st-my Grma Brown, 2nd-my Dad, 3rd-ME!!! 4th-my Randi and 5th-my Grandsons Elijah and Connor. I love this picture! My Dad looks proud as a peacock...but that was before Grma "got after" him, not once but 3 times for not telling her we were coming, it was priceless! Let me tell you at 94 Grma is sharp as a tack and a still a force to be reckoned with! This was so special for me! Randi was right...it is oh so fun to be "5 and big".

Precious Picture! We are so lucky to still have our Grandma. I'm luckier still to have 3 grandma's (Grandma H and Dave's Grma Alyce) who are all 17er's. (Born in 1917). There was a 17er club they belonged to for awhile. I doubt it's still going these days.

I agree with Brenda, it's a precious picture! I,too, have a 17er, my Mom. My Dad is a 15er, and I am so very lucky to still have them. Wishing you well.

Wow. I look like a girl version of Elijah in my birthday picture. I still remember that party... and my red bike!
Isn't Elijah funny in that picture? Couldn't have captured a more fake smile from the boy.

What a treasure to have. Good you all got together so you could record the 5 generations. Sometimes not easy when everyone is spread far and wide. I remember what a little cutie that Randi was! How time flies.

I remember her 5 and big, and it seems like yesterday. She did have big plans, but her life has surpassed them. She only talked of growing up and traveling, and different jobs. I doubt she realized at 5, that she would bring the 5th generation for you. I am so proud of the momma she is. Raising up a whole new generation for our Lord. Oh, how I love that girl of yours!

I dream of being like Grandma when I grow up. :) I doubt she knows that her love and strength sustained us.

I'm hoping my own grown-up version of Big and 5 is something I'll get to experience in the near future. Both of my grandmothers are still alive, though my paternal grandmother isn't likely to be with us much longer. My oldest daughter married last summer. What's taking them so long to make US big and 5?!!!

Oh, I just thought of something really cool. If Chelsea's first baby is a girl (and my maternal grandma is still alive when she's born) we would have five generations of firstborn children who are also all female!
