Moved...

The March 11, 2011 earth quake has moved Japan 13 feet closer to the United States. The earths axis has been moved by 6.5 inches moving our day 1.8 microseconds shorter. The tsunami that followed moved a 23 foot high wall of water. The tsunami moved across the ocean at 500 miles per hour reaching Hawaii in less than 12 hours, then it moved and reached the main land of North America.
This is Ryan a friend of ours and of our extended family, I borrowed the picture from his facebook:) He has been in Japan for the past 6 weeks in Itayangi, 200 miles northwest of Sendai(see news story here at WKTB video on right). Ryan is safe.
When our world is rocked, literally and figuratively,
we are moved in one way or another...
many have been moved to tears,
others will be moved to fears...
...I am moved to pray this day, for some way I can reach out.
How will this move you?

Hey Jody....we're moved to pray as well. We can't even fathom all that Japan is experiencing right now. We'll be keeping your friend Ryan and his family in our prayers as well Jody!

Very well done. Praying that God will move our hearts closer to Christ in this troubling time. May we be more like Jesus, and show them God's infinite love.

We have been having quite a series of earthquakes occurring here in central Arkansas in the Greenbrier area. Don't know if you have heard about it in the news, but they have been increasing and happening regularly. Then we heard about the big one in New Zealand, and now Japan. And lets not forget the people of Haiti are still suffering from the terrible devastation there. Youngest daughter said she fears the end of the world. No one can say for sure, but I do think we should be paying attention. Hopefully, people around the world will wake up and realize that this present world is not forever. Perhaps these are the birthpangs to literally "shake us up" to realize that Christ's return is imminent.
Thanks for your powerful post, Jody!
